Responsibilities:
- Provide care and education for children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and programs
- Monitor and assess the development and progress of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on their child's well-being
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Train and mentor new nursery staff members
Skills:
- Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities for children
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Note:
* Honey Bees Day Nursery is a truly beautiful setting in an idyllic country location. The team is supportive and nurturing.
* We are looking to appoint two full-time permanent staff, preferably with a Level 3 Early Years qualification. One of these roles would potentially involve working on a one-to-one basis with specific children.
* In addition, we also seek to appoint a person to provide lunch cover each day from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
* Ideally, candidates would be qualified to Level 3.
