Our client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, assembling, and testing mechanical components—especially those involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems. A strong understanding of material selection, functional testing, and quality compliance is essential. Monday to Friday - 38 hour week. £35000 - good company benefits and parking on site. Key Responsibilities: · Disassemble mechanical components to assess damage and identify repair requirements. · Determine appropriate materials and methods to be used during the repair process. · Perform repairs according to approved Repair Instructions and Component Maintenance Manuals · Conduct functional testing of components, with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. · Reassemble components after repair or overhaul, ensuring compliance with specifications. · Execute "Reduce to Produce" activities to support component recovery and cost efficiency. · Maintain and report operational data daily, weekly, and monthly as required. · Manage the calibration process for tools and equipment in accordance with quality standards. · Apply strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot mechanical failures and suggest improvements. · Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across all activities. Qualifications and Experience: · Proven hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and components. · Familiarity with pneumatic systems and testing protocols. · Solid understanding of mechanical repairs, material selection, and calibration processes. · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. · Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
