As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls accurately and on time.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Process various weekly payrolls accurately
* Meet processing deadlines centrally and regionally
* Check exception reports and correct errors
* Calculate overpayments
* Process EYU’s
* Handle SSP, SPP, SMP payments
* Respond to employee queries
* Complete enquiry forms for third parties
* Ensure compliance with statutory legislation
* Perform month-end reporting and payments for weekly payrolls
* Submit RTI reports to HMRC
* Process manual payments to employees when required
* Manage Year-End processes
Experience Required
* Formal payroll qualification or relevant experience
* Accuracy and numeracy skills
* IT literacy
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* At least 6 months to 1 year of payroll processing experience
Liaises with:
* Operations Managers and Employees
* Third parties such as B & CE, HMRC, DWP
* Payroll team
