We are seeking to recruit a customer service administrator to work within our busy Audiology Department in Boscombe, Bournemouth, Dorset.
This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
The main function of the Dorset Audiology Service is to provide NHS hearing aid services throughout Dorset. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills to join our friendly admin team.
Our administration team supports our audiologists, and we welcome an enthusiastic person to join our expanding team. Our Audiology service is going through an exciting period as East and West Dorset Audiology integrate to become one Dorset Audiology Service in 2024.
The function of the Audiology Service is to reduce disability due to deafness. We provide complex services for patients in balance, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties, ENT, and paediatric audiology services.
As a customer services administrator, you should be well-motivated, flexible, and a clear communicator.
Employment in this post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Your tasks will include:
1. Reception duties
2. Supporting patient appointments
3. Assisting and directing visitors as needed
4. Providing patients with hearing aid accessories
5. Supporting admin and clinical team members
