Affinity Water are looking to recruit a Project Management Office Manager. This is a key role responsible for providing governance and oversight for the programme to ensure it is delivered effectively and efficiently whilst meeting the business objectives for smart metering deployment and benefits realisation.
Principal accountabilities
The smart metering programme has been developed to support in meeting our environmental and water conservation goals whilst considering population growth. We need to deliver an ambitious demand management programme that delivers a mix of leakage reduction (through fixing leaks and replacing pipes), smart metering and water efficiency campaigns.
* Oversee delivery and outputs of the key workstreams across the smart metering programme.
* Provide periodic reporting on the progress of the key workstreams and identify recommendations for changes to support the delivery of the agreed business outcomes.
* Proactive engagement and challenge with workstream leads and other stakeholders to progress delivery, report on outputs and identify risks.
* Ensure effective change control processes are in place to approve and track the impact of agreed changes to people, process, or systems.
* Clear cost and output tracking is in place, forecasting and potential deviations are closely managed to bring the programme back on track.
* Drive consistency across the workstreams in adhering to the project management principles and lifecycle.
What you need:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
* Senior Project Management experience, developing and leading on the implementation of strategies for complex projects.
* Experience of delivering strategic change and transformation programmes

* Ability to drive and embed change within an organisation, work across organisational boundaries, politics and cultures to influence and engage others to achieve a successful outcome
* Highly performance driven. Prioritises, plans, monitors progress and takes action to address shortfalls.
* Comfortable working in a flexible environment prioritising team tasks with dynamic workloads
