About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting pupils aged 5-16 who have found mainstream education challenging. Working under the direction of the SENDCo, class teacher, or HLTA, you will play a vital role in delivering targeted interventions designed to accelerate pupil progress and overcome barriers to learning.
This is a full-time position based in Bradford, offering a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement planning and assessment for individual pupils or small groups to support accelerated progress
* Support pupils in developing communication, independence, social skills, and positive behaviour management
* Organise, run, monitor, and report on the impact of targeted interventions
* Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual student needs
* Cover classes in the absence of teaching staff as required
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and needs
* Deliver interventions independently and provide ideas and resources to support learning
Essential Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade 9-5
* Relevant childcare/education qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) desirable
* Experience working with children in an educational setting, including those with EAL (English as an Additional Language)
* Proven experience delivering small group interventions independently
* Ability to administer and assess routine tests
