Business Support Clerk - Admin & Clerical
Hours: 37 per week
Location: 4-10 Linenhall Street, Belfast, BT2 8BP
Pay Rate:
* £13.47 per hour
Role Overview
* An opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Clerk to provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support within a busy council service area. The role supports a large, fast-paced Human Resources function and requires excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Key Duties Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support, including filing, photocopying and mail processing
* Maintain computerised and manual record systems
* Input, extract and manage data accurately
* Draft routine correspondence, reports and documents
* Provide word processing and document formatting support (including presentations)
* Arrange meetings and take accurate minutes at pace
* Deliver high standards of customer service via phone, email and face-to-face
* Support routine business functions including HR, finance and general administration
* Use a range of office IT systems and equipment
* Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and service standards
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role
Essential Skills & Experience Strong written
* Communication skills, including minute-taking and drafting correspondence
* Clear and professional verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong customer service focus
* Competent IT skills (data entry, retrieval and document production)
* Excellent organisation, diary management and workload prioritisation skills
Essential: Experience taking high-volume minutes at pace within a busy HR or multi-disciplinary environment
