What will you be doing?
Linux & Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
10. Administration of RHEL 7/8/9, including installation, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
11. System performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
12. User, group, permissions, and SELinux management
13. Filesystem and storage management (LVM, XFS, ext4, NFS)
On‑Prem Infrastructure & Virtualisation
14. Support of physical and virtual Linux servers in enterprise environments
15. Experience with VMware and Red Hat Virtualization platforms
16. Backup, recovery, and capacity planning support
Automation & Configuration Management
17. Bash scripting for operational automation
18. Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management
19. Standardisation and reduction of configuration drift
Azure Cloud & Hybrid Platforms
20. Azure Linux Virtual Machines and storage services
21. Azure networking: VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN integration
22. Hybrid connectivity between on‑prem and Azure, including identity and DNS integration
Containers & Kubernetes (AKS)
23. Container fundamentals using Docker and Podman
24. AKS cluster operations, scaling, and node management
25. Workload deployment, persistent storage, and monitoring
Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)
26. OpenShift cluster operations and platform support
27. Projects, operators, RBAC, and storage configuration
28. Azure integration and identity management
Security, Monitoring & Operations
29. OS hardening, access control, and certificate management
30. Platform monitoring, logging, and alerting
31. Incident, change, and problem management in production environments
What about you?
32. An experienced individual able to perform system administration tasks and hands-on support on a variety of Unix, Linux, and Cloud-based systems. Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 5 through 9 and any yum-based operating systems is essential.
33. You work effectively with application support and development teams to implement necessary infrastructure for business systems. You possess skills in Linux integrations, Active Directory SSSD, system log management, and system performance tuning (e.g., kernel tweaking using sysctl.conf).
34. A proactive team player who supports both project and operational tasks, continuously refining procedures to foster improvement within the team. You have a solid understanding of O/S hardening practices to enhance system security.
35. Proficient in virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere, Kubernetes (AKS/OpenShift), and cloud environments (Azure, GCP). Experienced in container technologies using Azure Container Store or Artifactory and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
GENERAL AND SOFT SKILLS:
36. Proficient in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Perl for various automation and integration tasks.
37. Strong documentation skills are required for maintaining clear and up-to-date records. Ability to describe technical solutions clearly to a non-technical audience is crucial.
38. Flexible in approach, able to prioritize work effectively and adapt to both agile and sometimes waterfall methodologies
