Actuarial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
A bit about the job:
This role is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with an actuarial background who wants to see the bigger picture of financial reporting and get close to how we message the new IFRS17 results. Working in the UK Life Consolidation team in particular allows an opportunity to get insight into profit drivers across multiple product lines and collaborate with a broad network of colleagues. It is a great chance to put strong organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills into practice with delivery into Group and senior stakeholders.
You will be responsible for supporting the consolidation of UK Life key performance indicators, primary statements, and disclosures. It involves working closely with the cell reporting teams to gather the content and narrative for the reported results, providing an expert actuarial perspective, and communicating with Group, FP&A, UK Life senior stakeholders and external audit.
A key part of the role is distilling a complex picture with multiple inputs into a quality set of consolidated results that can be presented to our Chief Accounting Officer, CFO and Audit Committee to achieve strong governance and control standards.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Someone who is comfortable working to challenging deadlines
* Someone who can manage the needs of multiple stakeholders, and receiving inputs from multiple data providers
* Strong risk and controls mindset
* Strong communication skills to distil complex results into high level messages and strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint
* Qualified actuary or experienced actuarial analyst with experience of complex actuarial work as well as exposure to reporting and IFRS17 preferred
