Schofield and Sons is a well-established commercial construction company with over 45 years of industry experience.
Based in Monton, Eccles, Salford, we operate exclusively within the commercial sector and are trusted delivery partners on multiple frameworks across the North West.
Our clients include the NHS, Greater Manchester Transport, Salford, Bolton, Chorley and South Ribble Councils, architectural practices, schools, and the Dioceses of Salford and Manchester. Our portfolio covers a wide range of commercial construction, refurbishment and heritage projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support our expanding workload.
The Role
You will be responsible for pricing commercial construction projects typically ranging from £50,000 to £3 million, with most tenders between £180,000 and £500,000.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Sourcing, analysing, and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Producing full cost breakdowns and tender submissions
* Liaising with internal teams, architects and clients
* Maintaining organised records of estimates and pricing
About You
* Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction
* Strong track record pricing projects from £50k to £3m
* Evidence of successful tenders and completed quotations
* Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and costs
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to work to deadlines and communicate effectively
