Are you an experienced communications professional who is ready to take on your next challenge? Are you looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career rather than just another job? Do you crave an autonomous environment where you have the freedom to really make your own mark on things? Then you’re in the right place!
We are currently looking for a HR Communications and Engagement Lead to join our Curry’s operation in Newark. You’ll work as part of the on‑site HR team to provide efficient and effective communication across the contract and develop an engagement strategy to improve employee morale.
Pay, benefits and more: You’ll be paid a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work‑life balance. Your benefits package includes a company‑sponsored pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. You’ll have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of discounts, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, cashback cards, a savings scheme and much more. You’ll also have access to our GXO University which provides you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace you’re comfortable with.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Improve all communications and engagement on site, thinking of new innovative and technological ways of supporting the communication initiative and strategically delivering on our overall engagement agenda.
* Gain support and buy‑in from the wider operational teams when delivering employee engagement activities that help drive an improvement in the overall colleague experience.
* Establish a consistent communications channel, bringing communications into the digital age.
* Successfully build, manage and deliver the year‑by‑year engagement calendar.
* Establish a group of peers both inside and outside of the contract to build a larger engagement network, leading project groups to reimagine the wellbeing and D&I calendar.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Proven experience in a similar communications and engagement role, or the ability to demonstrate these skills as part of a wider role.
* Excellent people‑management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships at all levels.
* Be an effective influencer and communicator, able to positively engage and empower others.
* Strong IT skills including Word and Canva, able to be creative with new ways of working.
