Mobile Library Driver
Based in Glenrothes
£13.79 per hour
ASA Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a Mobile Library Driver to support a vital community service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, engaging with the public, and providing an essential local service.
Working Hours:
1. Thursday & Friday: 08:48 – 15:00
2. Occasional Thursday shift: 10:48 – 19:00
3. Additional days may be available depending on service requirements and cover needs
Key Responsibilities:
4. Driving and operating a mobile library vehicle
5. Providing a friendly and helpful service to library users
6. Using a laptop and scanner to issue, discharge, and request books
7. Managing stock and processing library requests
8. Ensuring the vehicle and service run smoothly on scheduled routes
Requirements:
9. Valid driving licence with CPC qualification (essential)
10. Experience driving vehicles up to and over 3.5 tonnes
11. Comfortable using IT equipment (laptop/scanner systems)
12. Good communication and customer service skills
13. Reliable and flexible approach to working hours
