An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intelligence Researcher to join the Gateway Multi-Agency Hub as part of the Counter Terrorism Policing - Borders South team. Our Research and Analysis Team produces high quality research and analytical products to support the wider portfolio of Maritime & Commodities.
As an Intelligence Researcher you will be responsible for identifying and researching information and intelligence from relevant data sets to provide comprehensive research products to enable decision making in relation to targeting.
You will identify, collect, collate, evaluate and disseminate information and intelligence that is relevant to the identification of risk, threat and opportunity to UK Maritime & Commodities.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills including the ability to liaise with and work in partnership with National Ports Services, the CT network and partner agencies, to gather and research information and intelligence.
You will be required to maintain personal responsibility for information collection, recording, evaluation, sharing, review, retention and disposal - in compliance with codes of practice and guidance in the Management of Information, Information Security Policy, and other relevant procedures and legislation.
Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
Please note that although the working location is fixed, this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving license.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £32,802.00.
