Our client, a well‑established and growing legal practice based in South Wales, is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their team. With a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality legal services, they are looking to appoint a detail‑oriented and client‑focused professional to support their continued growth.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Conveyancer to take ownership of a varied caseload of residential or commercial property matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth transactions, maintaining compliance, and building strong relationships with clients and third parties. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Case Management:
o Manage a full caseload of residential or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion
o Handle freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers, and refinancing matters
* Legal & Technical Delivery:
o Conduct title checks, searches, and enquiries, raising requisitions where necessary
o Draft, review, and prepare contracts, transfers, leases, and associated legal documentation
* Client & Stakeholder Management:
o Act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors, and other solicitors
o Provide clear, timely updates and maintain excellent client care throughout the transaction lifecycle
* Compliance & Process Management:
o Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML checks and internal policies
o Manage exchange of contracts, completions, and post‑completion processes, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations
* Organisation & Administration:
o Maintain accurate file records and case management systems
o Proactively manage deadlines and progress transactions efficiently
Ideal Background & Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience in residential or commercial conveyancing
* Experience managing a full caseload independently
* Strong understanding of property transactions, land law, and conveyancing processes
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
* Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or Solicitor
* Knowledge of AML regulations, SDLT requirements, and Land Registry procedures
* Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office
