You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in London in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager - Rail who will successfully manage a project commercial delivery team, project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages as a member Project Management Team.
As the Senior Commercial Manager - Rail, you will:
1. Be able to produce preliminaries estimate and assess staffing levels for projects for commercial and production staff
2. Understand business core objectives and create / maintain networking opportunities.
3. Set a commercial strategy that sets challenging financial targets that achieve the best case gross project margin and where possible outperform Targets.
4. Monitor and manage the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
5. Monitor and manage the Design Change Management philosophy in accordance with the Project Strategy.
We are looking for:
6. Experience working on large projects (ideally within a rail environment).
7. Good working knowledge of NEC contract/commercial law.
8. Experience of working in rail projects desirable.
9. MRICS or CICES desirable.
10. Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
11. Experience with managing commercial teams of 5+ members.
