The Construction Manager will lead the planned capital works programme for schemes and projects across the Southampton Highways Services Partnership, Citywatch Contract and third party works delivered via the SCAPE Framework. You will ensure that coordination is achieved across all activities and that all components of the project are delivered to specification, budget/cost and time. You will lead directly lead a team of site agents and indirectly operatives. This role will report to the Design and Construction Manager.
What you'll be doing
As an Operations Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
1. Proactively promote and lead a positive health and safety culture across the contract
2. Overall management of site activities
3. Overall responsibility that works are completed to correct the design and the specification of highway works
4. Good commercial acumen, including budget management to proactively manage programmes as set out in the scheme commercial documentation
5. Management of Risk and opportunities
6. Management of change control through NEC 3 standards.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
7. Highway Maintenance
8. Highway / Civil Construction
9. Construction, Design and Maintenance experience (CDM)
10. SMSTS
11. NVQ L6
12. NRSWA Supervisor
13. CSCS Manages card
14. Project Management
15. Computer literate including Excel, Mobile devices
16. Great communication and presentation skills.
