Do you have a heart for supporting individuals experiencing homelessness? If so, our client is seeking a dedicated Rough Sleeper - Prevention Worker to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to work directly with those in need and contribute to preventing and addressing homelessness in our community.
* Contribute to proactive measures that prevent individuals from becoming entrenched in rough sleeping.
* Support vulnerable individuals by providing practical assistance and guidance.
* Collaborate with local agencies to ensure a holistic and effective approach in addressing homelessness.
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience in outreach work or relevant field, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities of homelessness.
* Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals, showing empathy and sensitivity to their needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both service users and external stakeholders.
* A proactive and resilient nature with the ability to manage challenging situations with compassion and professionalism.
* Passion for social justice and a commitment to advocating for the homeless community.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field.
* Additional training in mental health first aid or substance abuse support is advantageous.
Essential:
* Full UK driving license for travel between locations and to conduct outreach activities.
