Lecturer in Psychology
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford College
Hours: Full-time & Part Time Positions Available
Salary: £32,136 - £42,848 per annum
We are looking for a Lecturer of A Level Psychology within our Academic Studies Department.
Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer with a proven record of innovation and a pro‑active approach to delivery. You should have a demonstrated understanding and sensitivity toward the needs of your learners and have experience teaching at least A Level Psychology. You will also be enthusiastic, self‑motivated, a team player, and hold a Social Science related degree.

Responsibilities
* Play an active role in marketing the College and Department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
* Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials, writing schemes of work and mentoring.
* Monitor retention, achievement and pass rates.
Qualifications & Experience
* Holds a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
* Has an appropriate teaching qualification.
* Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
* Has experience in the delivery of A Level Psychology.
