We are now looking for an ambitious and innovative SHE Specialist to join our team and provide support across our sites across the Yorkshire and East Midlands. This role is a position that will allow the successful person to make a demonstrable impact within a world-leading organisation which maintains a family feel. What You Will Be Doing: You will support the delivery of EMR’s Safety, Health and Environmental strategy across multiple operational sites, ensuring high standards of compliance and safety performance. Working closely with site teams, you will provide expert guidance, support audits and investigations, and help drive continuous improvement in SHE practices. Implement and support company-wide SHE strategies, policies and procedures. Ensure operational compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements. Act as the key SHE contact during EA and HSE visits, inspections and audits. Identify high-hazard activities and ensure effective risk controls are in place. Support the delivery and prioritisation of SHE training across sites. Lead or support incident investigations and conduct Root Cause Analysis. Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives. About you You are a motivated and knowledgeable SHE professional who is passionate about improving safety performance and supporting operational teams in maintaining high standards. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification. Strong understanding of UK health, safety and environmental legislation. Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, recycling or similar operational environments. Ability to analyse incidents and identify practical improvements to prevent recurrence. Strong communication and influencing skills when working with site teams and management. Well organised with the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations. Proactive mindset with a genuine commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
