We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an adept and self-confident customer-facing Senior NPD Technologist / Food and Beverage Product Developer with practical hands-on experience. The role involves working within a customer-facing new product development team in the food and beverage industry.
As a Senior NPD Technologist / Food and Beverage Product Developer, you will be an integral part of a team of food scientists, focusing on multifaceted beverage projects, ensuring effective project management and adherence to timelines.
Your responsibilities include executing multiple projects, generating innovative concepts based on current market trends, leveraging market data research, and demonstrating a good understanding of flavour science, stabiliser/emulsifier technology, and labelling legislation.

DUTIES
* Manage key customer accounts for NPD and EPD projects from concept to launch.
* Create and develop innovative recipes based on market trends.
* Maintain all documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct tasks related to product development, including testing and sample preparation.
* Source new ingredients considering feasibility and lead times.
* Ensure timely dispatch of lab samples.
* Lead tasting panels and customer development days.
* Communicate directly with key customers.
* Meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Coordinate pilot trials with process technologists.
* Support first production at co-packing sites as needed.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Hands-on NPD experience, preferably in the food and beverage sector.
* Knowledge of beverage ingredients and stabilising systems.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets.
* Attention to detail and numeracy skills.
* Ability to work independently and creatively.
* Degree in a relevant scientific field.
* Level 3 HACCP qualification or higher.
* Knowledge of ingredient legislation and labelling.
* Valid driving licence and transportation.
