Role Description
Job Purpose
The role of the Procurement Executive is to:
To purchase assigned products and the lowest cost of total ownership at the appropriate quality and quantity, under the review and guidance of the Head of Finished Goods procurement.
Support the wider Finished Goods procurement team in the management of contract and vendor management.
Support the wider Finished Goods procurement team in the generation of appropriate analytics monitoring the performance of suppliers and stock position.
Dimensions
External contacts – Relevant suppliers for assigned products.
Internal contacts – Procurement, Commercial, Revenue Growth Management, Customer Strategy and Planning, Innovation, Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical.
Travel may be required in this role.
Principal Responsibilities
For assigned categories, obtain the lowest possible total cost of ownership through negotiation, market intelligence and supplier knowledge.
Work in close partnership with the Senior Procurement managers in order to provide continuity through absence periods and to assist with workload during seasonal peaks.
Supplier and customer contract balance analysis and management
Maintain currency and cost savings trackers
Updating of SAP for contracts and latest costing information
Management of data and support of the SAP Master Data team
Assist in ensuring the best information is obtained from suppliers with regards to market trends, pricing fluctuations and forecasts so that Princes remains the category expert in the areas we operate within.
Assist in researching and developing new sources of supply.
Support the communication of market conditions in a timely fashion and in a way that is clear and concise for both internal and external understanding.
Develop and maintain responsible suppliers ensuring they are maintained to a standard to meet Princes / Industry standards (e.g. BRC, Sedex).
Manage contracts professionally and accurately, while maintaining cost conditions and source lists.
Work closely with Operations, Planning, NPD, Sales and Commercial on all product procurement issues
Professionally resolve problems both internally and externally in a fair and ethical manner while protecting the long-term interests of the team and company.
Support fully the efforts of other departments in achieving 100% stakeholder satisfaction.
