Sous Chef - School Catering (Ascot)
Salary: £32,500 per annum | Hours: 40 per week | Term Time: 42.5 weeks per year

Are you an experienced chef looking for a rewarding role in a school environment? We're seeking a Sous Chef to join our catering team in Ascot, delivering high-quality meals for students and staff.
About the Role
· Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (occasional evenings and weekends for events).
· Contract: Term time only (42.5 weeks per year).
· Assist the Head Chef in preparing and serving nutritious, balanced meals.
· Supervise kitchen operations and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
· Support menu planning and stock control.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
Requirements
· NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
· Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in school or contract catering.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
· Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
· A positive attitude and team spirit.
