We are looking for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic Reporting Radiographer who wants to join our friendly team and gain a wide range of experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Qualified Band 7 Plain Film Image Reporting Radiographer to work within the Sites of South Tees Hospitals. The department includes the provision of plain film x-ray, dental (including cone beam CT) and theatre services as well as specialist modalities, including US, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy/interventional radiology.
The successful candidate will be a role model for demonstrating our Trust's values through their leadership attributes and be committed to providing high quality, patient focused patient care.
Although the successful candidate will be employed by South Tees NHS Trust, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required. The successful candidate will join the Reporting Radiographer Plain Film roster at South Tees and work across all service sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees NHS Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology service is dedicated in facilitating continuous professional development and role extension/advanced practice. There are more than 30 Advanced Practitioners within the service, with specialist experience in fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and plain film radiographer reporting.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
1. Post graduate plain film reporting training and a proven ability in plain film image interpretation.
2. To understand a range of imaging modalities.
3. Evidence of continuous personal and professional
4. Comply with National radiation Guidelines (IRMER) regulations.
5. Understanding of the role and responsibilities of the post.
Desirable criteria
6. Experience of developing working relationships
Qualifications
Essential criteria
7. BSc or Msc Radiography or DCR (R)
8. HCPC Registration
9. Relevant post graduate qualification in plain film image reporting
10. Evidence of post graduate study at a Masters level (post grad cert/MSc)
Experience

11. To have evidenced experience within radiology imaging areas
12. Plain Film Image reporting experience
13. Computer Literacy
14. Manual Handling Skills- of patients and complex radiographic equipment
15. Physically fit to be able to fully participate in night and weekend working
