The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cyber Security Analyst to join the Cybersecurity division. This role draws on knowledge of Microsoft and Linux systems, networking and cybersecurity technologies. The analyst will initially support senior colleagues with services such as vulnerability assessments, investigation of security incidents, penetration tests and cyber-attack monitoring, with progression toward independent work.
You will interact with clients, using strong communication skills and technical ability to provide a first-class customer experience. You will be required to create high-quality reports from findings and discuss solutions with various stakeholders. As part of the wider Cybersecurity team, you will work with partners including Sophos, Tenable and Microsoft to protect customers from threats.
Job Requirements
Essential
* Working Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
* Networking and workplace technologies
* Cybersecurity solutions and related technologies
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Attention to detail
* Previous experience in a customer-service or customer-facing role
* Demonstrable organisation skills with a logical approach to problem solving
* Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and cope with fluctuating workloads
* Knowledge of industry best practice, incident management disciplines and networking principles
* Valid Right to Work in the UK (no current visa sponsorship)
* Willingness to undergo a pre-employment DBS check and Counter Terrorist Check if successful
Desirable
* Experience within a Cybersecurity/IT MSP role
* Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (C, C#, Python, Go, NIM, etc)
* Experience in Cyber Security CTFs (Hack The Box, TryHackMe, etc)
Job Responsibilities
* Keep up to date with latest security and technology developments
* Research/evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and ways to manage them
* Generate reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
* Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual or unauthorized activity
* Investigate security alerts and provide incident response
* Carry out vulnerability assessments and communicate with clients
* Assist senior team members with penetration tests
* Work to company procedures and client SLAs
* Liaise with customers on cybersecurity issues and provide future recommendations
* Build effective working relationships and become a trusted advisor for clients
* Ensure services are carried out efficiently and correctly to meet internal and client expectations
