We are working with a specialist SEMH secondary school in Bromley, part of a well-established and supportive academy trust, to recruit a Maths Teacher who is passionate about making a difference.
This is a unique opportunity to teach small classes of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, delivering Maths in a creative, accessible, and supportive way that promotes confidence and engagement.
About the Role:

Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
*
Use a trauma-informed and nurturing approach to build positive relationships
*
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and therapists to meet EHCP goals
*
Create a structured and safe learning environment that promotes trust and focus
*
Take part in the wider school community, including CPD and behaviour support planning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (Maths specialism preferred)
*
Experience teaching in alternative provision or with SEMH/SEN learners is desirable
*
A positive, adaptable, and resilient attitude
*
A commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
*
The ability to build rapport and motivate disengaged learners
*
Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to apply
