Reporting into : Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, (matrix reporting to the Director of Estates Services)

The University of Oxford is seeking a strategic and collaborative financial leader to join our Estates Services team. As Divisional Financial Controller (DFC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial governance, management and planning of a large and diverse estate – supporting a world-class academic environment.
As Divisional Financial Controller, you will:
Lead the financial strategy, governance, and planning for Estates Services, establishing finance as a key, critical function across the division and its operations
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including the Director of Estates Services and University committees, which also acting as the key liaison between Estates Services and the central University Finance Division
Drive a culture of financial sustainability and risk management across a diverse portfolio of projects
Implement robust changes to fully integrate the finance function into the divisional hierarchy following completion of a divisional annual review
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital project accounting for an estate undertaking significant major capital projects, ongoing minor works, and continued maintenance works
Lead a stable, divisional finance resource comprised of three teams encompassing capital projects, management accounts, and transactions

Extensive post-qualification experience in strategic financial control, estates finance, and capital projects
Strong robust leadership, adept at forging strong relationships, clear lines of communication, and direction in change-management
