Are you a qualified HGV Technician looking for a role that offers excellent pay, a structured working pattern, and ongoing training? We’re currently recruiting for an HGV Technician to join an IRTEC Accredited workshop in Preston. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician looking to progress their career with a supportive team.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and modifications to customer vehicles and equipment
* Diagnosing faults and ensuring all repairs are completed to the highest standards
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment
* Completing job cards and service sheets in a timely manner and keeping accurate records
* Working closely with your team to meet operational targets and deliver quality customer service
* Ensuring that all work is completed with a right-first-time approach
The Ideal Candidate
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (Essential)
* Experience working on HGVs within a commercial fleet or dealership environment
* Strong knowledge of using IT systems and technology to complete tasks
* A safety-focused, proactive attitude with a commitment to quality work
* Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
* Desirable: HGV Class 1 licence (not essential)
* Good team player with a flexible approach to work
Shifts & Pay
* Monday – Friday (Day Shifts): Up to £20 per hour (Approx. £43,500 per year)
* Two shift options: 6am – 4pm or 8am – 6pm
* Monday – Thursday (Night Shifts): Up to £20.43 per hour (Approx. £44,500 per year)
* 6pm – 6am
* 1 in 3 Sundays: Time and a Half
