Part Time Variable Hours Tutor of Plumbing Hours: part-time variable Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified)* or £26.38 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay. Plus, membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme *the base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour. In this role, you will be delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students at Levels 2 and 3, including those on the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. You will be involved with the planning and delivering of engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment. About the person We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about developing young people and supporting their journey into the Plumbing & Heating industry. You will: • Have a background in construction, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating (including gas) or higher in a related field. • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. • Be proactive in engaging with employers and supporting students’ wider development. • Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude. Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential and we welcome applications from experienced professionals who are keen to transition into education. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways.
