GSL Education are hiring an experienced RE Teacher to work with schools in Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to explore religion, ethics, and moral issues. As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons that build knowledge, critical thinking, and confidence, while fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Main Duties: Deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach topics covering major world religions, beliefs, and ethical issues. Encourage respectful discussion and thoughtful debate. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience working as an RE Teacher in a school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
