About The Role You will have the experience to take on IT management and service provision for our team, ensuring a reliable and secure operational environment. You will be skilled in IT management and understanding day-to-day business priorities. You will identify areas for improved efficiency as the business grows and will have a pro-active approach to implementing these. Responsibilities Manage the daily IT needs of the business maintaining all IT hardware, software and SAAS assets. Systems setup and user management ensuring our team is equipped with the essential tools and devices required to excel in their roles. Efficiently diagnose, categorize, and escalate technical problems. Guard the organizations digital infrastructure from cyber threats ensuring compliance with security policies. Data backup, recovery, and smooth system updates. Liaison with IT service providers. We support and encourage development and we hope the right candidate will grow along with our business. Essential Requirements Experienced with operating systems including Linux, Windows, macOS. Experienced in Office365, SharePoint and Linux server administration and understand network equipment. Strong interpersonal skills and enjoy engaging with others at all levels of seniority. Proactive and autonomous, and able to identify and solve day-to-day issues. Organised with meticulous attention to detail and capable of defining and executing projects according to plan – the executive team will trust that the detail has been checked and any key implications/concerns have been flagged appropriately. You make the best use of your and others’ time by being diligent and responding to unplanned events with calmness and respect. You are a culture champion by ensuring that collaboration tools enhance communication and teamwork. Able to work both hands-on and manage others. Self-motivated and thrive on multi-tasking, exercises sound judgement in implementing solutions appropriate to the need and business scale. Desirable Requirements Technical knowledge of cloud-based systems such as AWS and GCP. Knowledge of firewalls, encryption, antivirus solutions, and security best-practices such as ISO27001 to safeguard organizational data. A good understanding of the IT needs of a software engineering team. Previous experience in IT administration in a startup environment. Programming in Unix shell script, python, ansible etc. Experience with virtualisation such as Docker, VMware. Committed to continuous learning and adapting to the ever-evolving IT landscape in a fast-paced startup environment.
