As Team Leader, you’ll have responsibility for the Student Support Service and specifically, to manage the Safeguarding Coordinator, a team of Advisers and Service Administration staff. You’ll supervise, deliver, and monitor cross college support to ensure the safety/well-being of students and ensure compliance with statutory legislation and best practice. You’ll work with the Service Head, Safeguarding Officers, College staff and external agencies to promote student well-being and safeguarding awareness and ensure staff/students fully understand their duties and referral procedures.
We’re looking for a highly organised, dynamic and proactive Team Leader who holds a relevant degree or equivalent (such as Psychology, Social Science, Social Work, Youth & Community, Counselling, Teaching or Management). With leadership and management experience, working with complex decision making and able to deputise, you’ll have extensive practitioner experience of safeguarding and the protection of children and vulnerable adults, as well as a thorough understanding of how to assess risk and implement crisis intervention strategies.
With good understanding of working in an education setting (or similar) and experience of improving standards, you’ll have evidence of working effectively with external agencies and staff across an organisation to provide holistic support, enrichment and signposting services to enhance student wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
