Job Overview
This role will offer a senior highly skilled early years professional an opportunity to predominantly support the Nursery Manager in monitoring and evaluating the work of the service. The main functions of the role are to ensure high quality impact of successes for children and families of all abilities, develop a shared vision within the team, observe and support vision within the team, observe and support child initiated learning, use collaborative approaches to self -evaluation, role model and observe best practice while supporting staff development and encouraging professional engagement.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Floor/Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our rooms within the nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires effective communication in English and the ability to manage a team while fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Duties
* Supervise, develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
* Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their professional development.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring that health and safety standards are met at all times.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Supervise and support staff to organise activities that encourage children's creativity, curiosity, and exploration.
* Drive initiatives to improve nursery practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A relevant qualification in or working towards BA, PDA, Level 4 Childhood Practice.
* Experience in senior role working with children in a nursery environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to drive initiatives that foster a positive learning atmosphere for children.
