Job Description
1. Lead manufacturing improvement initiatives across fabrication and assembly areas to boost quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
2. Develop, document, and continuously refine manufacturing processes, standard work instructions, and supporting production documentation.
3. Analyze existing workflows and perform time and motion studies to establish realistic production standards and identify bottlenecks.
4. Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to review product designs and enhancements for manufacturability and smooth release to the shop floor.
5. Provide hands-on support to troubleshoot process and equipment issues on the production floor, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
6. Drive the application of Lean manufacturing tools and principles throughout operations to improve safety, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.
7. Design and improve manufacturing fixtures and tooling that simplify operations, improve ergonomics, and stabilize product quality.
8. Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and related system data while staying informed on new manufacturing technologies and best practices that can enhance productivity.

The Successful Applicant
9. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering).
10. 5+ years of hands‑on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with a strong focus on process optimization.
11. Solid understanding of fabrication processes such as MIG welding, plasma/waterjet cutting, press brakes, saws, rollers, and basic machine shop equipment.
12. Experience programming and supporting basic CNC machinery, including mills and lathes.
13. Advanced proficiency with design software including AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; familiarity with Inventor Vault is a plus.
14. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with demonstrated success applying Lean or Six Sigma tools to improve production performance.
15. Excellent communication, project‑management, and teamwork skills, with the ability to coach and support others across operations.
