Role: Marketing Manager – Fixed Term
Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £41,086 and £47,971 per annum DOE and Qualifications, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Fixed Term – Full Time – Fixed until 31 March 2027

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing and Digital department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Marketing Manager, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Delivery – Develop and deliver high‑quality acquisition and conversion marketing plans to meet recruitment targets, using insight‑led strategy, CRM workflows and multi‑channel campaigns.
2. Brand, Content & Student Experience Promotion – Lead the creation and delivery of compelling online and offline marketing collateral, prospectuses and social media content that promotes the student experience and strengthens brand reputation.
3. Stakeholder Partnership & Agency‑Style Service– Act as the key marketing partner for curriculum and senior stakeholders, ensuring coherent, timely and high‑quality delivery of marketing activity aligned to business objectives.
4. Team Leadership, Performance & Resources – Lead, manage and develop marketing staff, overseeing performance, CPD, budgets and resources while contributing to business planning and self‑assessment.
5. Governance, Representation & Compliance – Represent senior marketing leadership internally and externally, support events and recruitment activity, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and continuous professional development requirements.
About you:
6. Qualifications & Professional Development – Degree‑educated in marketing, business or a related field, with clear evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to keeping skills and knowledge up to date.
7. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Delivery – At least three years’ experience designing and delivering impactful marketing campaigns, with strong copywriting, project management and budget management capability.
8. Digital Marketing & CRM Expertise – Strong digital skillset including paid social advertising, email marketing and CRM platforms (ideally Microsoft Dynamics and ClickDimensions), supported by excellent IT proficiency.
9. Leadership, Organisation & Judgement – Experience managing or supervising staff, highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to prioritise workloads, apply policies effectively and drive continuous improvement.
10. Communication, Values & Flexibility – Confident communicator across all levels, aligned with College values of student focus and high performance, flexible to work outside normal hours and able to travel independently across campuses and events.
