The Opportunity: Systems Manager
We are seeking an experienced
Systems Manager
with deep expertise in
Oracle Fusion applications
and enterprise system management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administration, configuration, and optimisation of our core Oracle Fusion platform, which supports critical business functions across Finance, HR, Procurement, and Operations.
This pivotal role requires both strategic governance and hands-on technical management to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and aligned with our evolving global research and development objectives. You will be instrumental in managing system lifecycles, governing best practices, and collaborating across technology and business teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day administration, configuration, and performance management of
Oracle Fusion applications .
Lead system governance, ensuring consistent application of best practices for configuration management, security, and compliance.
Translate complex business requirements into effective system configurations, enhancements, and integration designs.
Manage and coordinate upgrades, patches, and release cycles for Oracle Fusion with internal teams and vendor support.
Define, document, and maintain system processes, data flows, and integration points with other enterprise tools.
Provide oversight for system access controls, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.
Collaborate with business unit leaders (Finance, HR, Operations) to identify and deliver system improvements that enhance operational outcomes.
Support all system testing cycles (UAT, regression, performance) to ensure stability and user adoption.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
5+ years
of experience managing enterprise applications, with at least
3 years focused specifically on Oracle Fusion
(Finance, HR, Procurement, or related modules).
Proven expertise in Oracle Fusion system administration, configuration, and integration management.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT governance, change management, and system lifecycle management.
Direct experience managing data security, role-based access, and compliance within Oracle Fusion.
Familiarity with integration technologies (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, APIs, middleware tools).
Excellent
problem-solving skills
and the ability to translate strategic business needs into effective system solutions.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Oracle certifications in relevant modules or system administration.
Experience with large-scale system implementations, migrations, or upgrades.
Exposure to other enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, or Workday.
Background in IT service management (ITIL or equivalent).
