Our team’s mission is to provide first-level support for all fulfillment systems (including WMS, WCS) at our automated production site in Derby, with occasional support at our German facility in Barleben. As part of a new warehouse software implementation team, you will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. You will serve as the first point of contact for system-related inquiries. What You Will Be Doing: Provide real-time support for our Warehouse Control System (WCS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) Identify opportunities for operational improvement, recommend and implement change controls, and define local reporting requirements Develop dashboards to enable system analysis and monitoring Continuously evaluate software systems, driving improvements through enhancements or change requests Coordinate with suppliers and internal development teams to resolve critical system issues Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials for WMS and WCS Ensure comprehensive reporting structures are in place to support operational transparency Who You Are: Strong experience working in WMS/WCS-driven production or fulfillment environments as system superuser or software engineer Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Solid understanding of supply chain processes and supporting technologies Demonstrated interest in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently while consistently meeting deadlines Preferred Technical Skills: DevOps practices GitHub Problem-solving in operational environments Python scripting SQL database querying WCS/WCS engineering experience What you will get in return: ● 70% off HelloFresh or Green Chef boxes ● Company pension scheme ● Gym membership ● Bupa private medical insurance (including dental & family cover options) ● Electric vehicle scheme ● Mental health first aiders and an employee assistance programme ● Nursery support scheme ● Cycle to work scheme ● Group Life Assurance Location : The Windmill, 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW Working schedule: This role follows a 42-hour contract with a "five out of seven" day working pattern, including one in four weekends on-call from home, adjusting that week's schedule to three working days, two days off, and the on-call weekend.
