Kitchen Porter – Cardiff (Education Site)
We are currently seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our client’s busy education site in Cardiff on a temporary basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in catering or hospitality who takes pride in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the kitchen team with day-to-day cleaning and hygiene tasks
2. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to a high standard
3. Ensure all areas of the kitchen are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
4. Assist with basic food preparation when required
5. Handle deliveries and store stock correctly
6. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
7. Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
8. Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role (preferred)
9. Good teamwork and communication skills
10. Strong work ethic and attention to detail
11. Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety standards
12. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
13. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
