Senior Manager, International Consolidation Permanent Location: Nottingham or Weybridge Vyoma Gandhi - vyoma.gandhi@boots.com About the role The Senior Manager, International Consolidation plays an important leadership role in managing the accurate and timely consolidation of financial results for the International Group, operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will ensure compliance with US GAAP / IFRS, coordinates external audit processes, and enhances the integrity of financial reporting systems. You will also drive a strong culture concerning internal controls over financial reporting. What you'll need to have These are the essential experience needed to succeed in this role. · Qualified accountant with excellent academic record. · Experienced in group consolidation reporting. · Excellent IFRS / US GAAP knowledge. · Experience of successfully leading and managing a team. · Ability to build strong relationships and networks across the organisation. · Track record of challenging existing processes / ways of working and driving through change and continuous improvement. · Excellent communicator, with natural presence and credibility at all levels. · Capable of challenging in a constructive and positive manner.x KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the end-to-end group consolidation process, ensuring quality, consistency, and control across all reporting entities. · Oversee operation of group consolidation and accounting systems aligned to the role (including Cognos Controller, Archer, Trirega). Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial information from the business; provide technical implementation guidance to local finance teams. · Manage Group audit process including coordination with external auditors and internal finance teams, coordinating audit deliverables. Develop and enforce group-wide policies and procedures related to financial reporting and consolidation. Collaborate with M&A teams on acquisition-related accounting and the integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidation process. Improve initiatives to enhance the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of the consolidation process. Partner with FP&A, Tax and Treasury to provide high-quality, consistent reporting. Review technical accounting papers submitted by component teams, for example Non-GAAP, M&A, disposals or restructuring (Supported by Group Head of Accounting). Monitor compliance by component teams strong internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in line with SOX or equivalent frameworks.
