Overview
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Ambulance Care Assistants to transport our patients, who are frail or need specialist assistance, to and from appointments at hospitals, treatment centre's and other similar facilities.
Training
We can offer you a 3 week paid training course. You would need to be available to attend a training on a full time basis over a period of 15 workings days. Clinically trained to standards that allow you to be competent as a ‘First Person on Scene’, patient transport driver training, and a full uniform. Every day is different as an ACA and you could really make a difference to our patients.
During the training course it is your responsibility to attend in full, on each day. Accommodation and travel expenses will not be provided so you will need to consider the costs and travel expense of attending these venues. As an example Welwyn Garden City and Chelmsford. You MUST be able to commit to undertaking the training course as outlined above.
To convey and care for patients who have been appropriately allocated within the protocols of the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust. This includes acute, urgent and routine patients.
To work in a team of two, or on your own, undertaking duties in a variety of vehicle types.
