Consultant Psychiatrist Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service
Apply for the Consultant Psychiatrist Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service role at NHS Scotland. This position is part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s integrated multidisciplinary team within the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, based in Back Sneddon Street, Paisley within the Renfrewshire HSCP catchment area.
Salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
* Provide consultant leadership and expertise in multidisciplinary meetings, supporting residents with problem substance use and comorbid mental health problems.
* Participate in all aspects of patient care across Community Alcohol and Drug Teams, specialist day and inpatient services, and collaborative work with third‑sector partners to deliver a recovery‑oriented system of care.
* Engage with the multidisciplinary structure that includes professionals from medicine, nursing, social care, psychology, occupational therapy, dietetics and pharmacy.
* Full registration with the GMC, MRCPsych or FRCPsych (or equivalent) and a CCST are essential.
* Specialist expertise in alcohol and drug recovery is required.
* Participation in protected CPD time and potential teaching and research opportunities.
