Role Overview
We're looking for a skilled RF Bench Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you'll be responsible for programming and testing radio equipment for hire, ensuring all equipment meets manufacturer specifications, and providing technical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Program and test radio equipment before dispatch to clients
* Provide technical troubleshooting and support to customers
* Maintain and repair radio equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Align and configure duplexers using tracking generators
* Test radio performance against manufacturer specifications
* Configure and support both analogue and digital radio systems
* Set up antenna combining systems for optimal signal performance
* Document technical processes and maintain accurate records
* Support the team with technical knowledge during complex setups
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working with Motorola radio equipment
* Practical knowledge of the RM Server programming system
* Strong understanding of RF principles and applications
* Experience using tracking generators to align duplexers
* Ability to test and verify radio performance against specifications
* Knowledge of 4-wire operation for duplex radio systems
* Experience with antenna combining techniques
* Proficiency with both analogue and digital radio systems
* Strong problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
* Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
Highly Desirable
* Motorola certifications
* Experience supporting live events or broadcast environments
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements for radio equipment
