Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Senior Land and Partnerships Manager to play a key role in identifying, securing, and delivering high-quality development opportunities. In this senior role, you will take responsibility for leading land acquisition and partnership initiatives that support our client’s growth objectives. Working closely with local authorities, housing associations, developers, and landowners, you will bring together commercial insight, technical understanding, and strong relationship-building skills to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure land and partnership-led development opportunities that align with business strategy.
* Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, registered providers, landowners, agents, and developers.
* Lead negotiations on partnership and joint venture agreements, ensuring commercial viability and risk management.
* Prepare and present robust financial appraisals, feasibility studies, and board papers to support acquisition decisions.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams — including technical, commercial, and planning — to ensure smooth project progression from inception to delivery.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of housing policy, planning frameworks, and regional development priorities.
* Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and partnership forums to enhance visibility and influence.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record in securing residential or mixed-use development opportunities.
* Experience of partnership working — e.g., with local authorities, housing associations, or JV partners.
* Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
* Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of planning, land law, and development processes.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
