Procurement Manager

Hays are delighted to be recruiting a Procurement Manager for an expanding centralernment organisation as they go through a period of growth.
As the Procurement Manager, you will lead and oversee all stages of the procurement process, from tendering through contract handover to supplier and contract management. This pivotal role supports the Head of Procurement & Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies
2. Manage procurementpetitions from initiation to contract award.
3. Conduct market research and analysis to informmercial decisions.
4. Assess specifications to ensure they align with best practices and business needs.
5. Manage contracts and procurement portfolio activities.
6. Drive value-for-money initiatives and develop additionalmercial opportunities.
7. Supporternance andpliance to maintain corporate procurement standards.
8. Provide expert training and guidance on procurement processes.
We are looking for individuals with
9. Previous experience of working within Public Sector Procurement
10. Expertise inpetitive tenders, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
11. Preferably CIPS qualified or working towards a professional procurement qualification.
