ZAM FM is a premier facilities management company dedicated to providing exceptional security and facilities management. We are expanding our team and are looking for a vigilant and dedicated cleaning supervisor to ensure the cleanliness of our clients’ premises.
Job Description:
As a cleaning supervisor at ZAM FM, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily cleaning operations within the school to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves supervising cleaning staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing cleaning supplies and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff across all school facilities, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and communal areas.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met.
* Organize staff rotas, allocate tasks, and ensure adequate coverage during absences or peak periods.
* Provide training and guidance to cleaning staff on safe and effective use of cleaning materials, equipment, and procedures.
* Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, ordering stock as necessary within budget guidelines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs or spillages.
* Liaise with school leadership and site management to address specific cleaning requirements or special events.
* Keep accurate records of staff attendance, cleaning schedules, inspections, and supply usage.
* Promote a positive working environment and support staff wellbeing.
Requirements:
* At least one year of cleaning experience
* Ideally must possess an enhanced DBS as this role involves working in a school environment
