Advert
Palace Wood Primary school has a rare but wonderful opportunity for you! We have a teaching role for one of our classes, this could be in key stage 1 or 2 depending on preference and strength.
We have worked hard at Palace Wood to make it not only an amazing place for children, but also to make it a brilliant place to work. We promise that you:
1. will have a voice
2. will be developed and supported
3. will be the leader of your classroom
4. will be able to undertake research
5. will be trusted
6. will be a learner too
7. will be given 20% (1 day) PPA each week which can be taken off site should you wish
8. will be given additional subject leader time throughout the year
You won't be held back by marking policies, data driven targets, formalised scrutinies of work and lessons, but will be given the autonomy to make the best decisions for your classroom and your children, ably supported by a focused and relevant professional learning programme.
Our children have developed a love of learning and embrace challenge; they are looking for a teacher who can provide them with this challenge. In return, they will strive to reach and go beyond your expectations. We have a dedicated art studio and art teacher, PE and sports coaches who work with all year groups. A forest school where all children, from EYFS to year 6, spend time each term. We promote outdoor learning and play opportunities for all our children.
By giving you agency, and through working together to create fantastic opportunities for our children, you will be able to create lasting memories. A parent recently said "When I see my child buzzing with enthusiasm after an exciting day at school I sometimes wish I was nine again so that I could go to Palace Wood."
Ideally we are looking for a term 2 start but this could be later for the right person.
Palace Wood Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In order to ensure the ongoing safety of our children, applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including reference checks with previous employers, a 'Right to Work' in the UK check and an enhanced DBS check.
