Are you ready to be a champion for student success? Join us as a Learning Manager, where you will play a critical role in nurturing student potential by focusing on welfare, strategic intervention, and data‑driven monitoring. This position is perfect for someone passionate about removing academic and behavioural barriers to learning, ensuring all students thrive in a supportive educational setting, and effectively managing complex student cases in collaboration with external agencies.
As a Learning Manager you must have the ability to work with students and have a real interest in the issues faced by the students. You will monitor and support all students in both year groups, both academically and behaviourally. You will work closely with the Inclusion Co‑coordinator and the Leadership Team on improving student behaviour, attendance and outcomes. Day to day, you will work with students to help them to be the best they can be.
The successful candidate must be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead by example are essential. You will be required to deal with students, parents and outside agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner. You will utilise the MIS system in order to track and intervene with serial internal truants or students who are consistently late for lessons. Your role will have emphasis on intervention and student tracking throughout the day using the Academy’s “Praising Stars” system. You will attend case conferences and other meetings regarding students in your year alongside preparing referrals and reports for those students identified as needing intervention.
