WAGGIN & WALKIN provides expert dog walking services, and we invite you to become a valued member of our fun team.
We seek a dog walker who demonstrates compassion, attentiveness, and respect towards our dogs. The preferred candidate will possess prior experience in dog ownership or handling, along with a willingness to further develop relevant skills on the job. Candidates with enthusiasm for animal care and a genuine interest in working with dogs are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should ideally live within the following post code areas: MK4, MK5, or MK8, or within a 1 mile radius to minimise travel requirements.
This position is open to all applicants but may be particularly well-suited for individuals with a steady source of income, such as those with evening jobs, remote workers with flexible schedules, semi-retired or retired professionals, part-time workers, or those available during daytime hours. The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy spending time outdoors and have a passion for working with animals.
Parents with children in school are particularly suited to dog walking but would need to have childcare cover in the term holidays as dog walking happens all year round.
This is a buildable role and due to the nature of the business, hours cannot be guaranteed. We will build this schedule up as quickly as possible.
What does a dog walker need to be:
* Have a massive love for all animals.
* Ideally living within postcode areas: MK4, MK5, MK8 or close by.
* Dependable, flexible, punctual, and fit for walking.
* Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
* Experience with dogs and can walk all breeds in a competent manner.
* Committed to the welfare of animals.
* Owning a 5-door vehicle a must (e.g. hatchback, estate, 4x4)
* Make sound decisions, use common sense, and take initiative.
* Enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing
Dog walking services are typically provided between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Working hours will be assigned within this timeframe and may vary.
The role is offered on a self-employed basis as a sub-contractor. Training, insurance, and ongoing support are provided. A (DBS) check will be required if you are offered the role, and we are able to assist you with this process.
If you consider yourself suitable for the position and are interested in joining our team, please apply by emailing your current C.V. and responding to all employer questions.
