We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Telford starting September 2025. This role involves working closely with teachers to support the learning and development of young children.
Main Duties:
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support to an Early Years pupil in and out of the classroom
* Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement activities suited to the pupil’s individual requirements
* Encourage the pupil’s academic growth, social skills, and emotional well-being, fostering independence and confidence
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
* Modify resources and teaching approaches to match the pupil’s learning preferences
* Help track the pupil’s progress and provide helpful feedback to both teachers and parents
* Establish strong relationships with the pupil, school staff, and family members
* Follow school guidelines and contribute to a safe, respectful environment
Candidate Profile:
* Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or has relevant experience
* Experienced in providing one-to-one support to children, preferably in a school environment
* Demonstrates empathy and insight into the unique needs of young learners
* Possesses strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Shows patience, resilience, and emotional support skills
* Able to adapt and respond to evolving needs
* Familiarity with Early Years teaching techniques and materials is preferred
* Additional relevant qualifications are a benefit but not mandatory
