Durham University are looking for a Finance Manager/Coordinator to temporarily join their team for a period of circa 3 months.
The Finance Manager/Coordinator will be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. The position will take ownership of the management accounting for assigned divisions, being involved in forecasting and planning as well as facilitating financial compliance. The role will have line management responsibilities. The Finance Manager will have key involvement with wider colleagues and stakeholders to take forward objectives for project management reporting, capital accounting, and management accounts delivery.
Typical duties will include:
* Review of capital projects and working with Project Managers to obtain information for capitalisation of assets and identification of key cashflows;
* Month-end and year-end reviews of purchase orders, goods receipts, and aged debts;
* Preparing recharge, accrual and prepayment journals;
* Financial data gathering for regulatory returns;
* Completion of year-end tasks to deadlines.
The role holder will be a qualified or part-qualified management accountant and knowledge of Oracle Fusion would be advantageous.
The role supports hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 WFH.
