A new opportunity has arisen, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing individual, who has a positive and solution focused attitude to join our team, as a class teacher within our Intensive Support Provision. This post is a part-time, permanent post, 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) We are looking to recruit a teacher for one of our classes in our Intensive Support Provision (ISP) for 2 days (Tues, Wed) and to cover a few sessions of RCCT within ISP and the mainstream school on the final day (Fri). Our ISP has two small classes ranging from 6-9 children in each class. We are looking for a positive and reflective teacher who has experience in supporting children with a range of additional support needs including supporting children with autism, social and communication adaptations, physical and sensory profile. The teacher appointed will be required to work closely with the ISP team and Senior Leadership Team, families, and partners to promote inclusion. You will be responsible for planning to improve outcomes for our children through individual planning and target setting. Skills & Experience Required We are looking for a positive and creative person who will plan a curriculum and create an environment that is inclusive and incorporates visual supports, sensory learning activities, a communication friendly environment including promoting the use of Makaton. You will understand the need for confidentiality and be able to work sensitively to support learners and their families. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative. You will have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to working with children.
